Our Story

Renu was founded in 2008 and is led by Iain and Kristeen Geddes. Kristeen is a Registered Nurse Independent Prescriber with an extensive clinical background with previous roles in renal nursing and Accident & Emergency. She has a special interest in skin health, acne and rosacea as well as women’s health, menopause, hormonal wellbeing, dermatology, aesthetics, and functional wellness.

Kristeen has completed both a Postgraduate Diploma and an MSc in Clinical Dermatology, alongside years of dermoscopy experience. This advanced training gives her the knowledge and clinical insight to assess and treat her patients safely and effectively.

Kristeen has also authored two peer-reviewed journal articles: “Age-Related Changes in the Menopausal Woman: The Role of Hormones on the Skin” and “Injecting Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers to Rejuvenate and Augment the Lower Face.”

She has undertaken training in minor surgery and has performed hundreds of minor surgical procedures, bringing together clinical knowledge, practical experience, and a patient-focused approach to care.

With a commitment to care that is both evidence-based and natural in outcome, Renu has grown into a trusted name in skin health and wellbeing across Tayside. Our clinic is known for combining clinical expertise with advanced technology and minimally invasive treatments, always tailored to the individual.

  As a mum, watching your child struggle with acne can be tough. You see their confidence wobble and the frustration they feel each time a new pimple appears. Your own heart hurts as you watch them try to hide their magnificent, perfect face! So I spent a fortune trying every skincare regime I could find online or in chemists and the confidence was dropping lower and lower and my heart hurt a little bit more. Finally I knew I needed help and spent a day on the phone and found Re-Nu and booked an appointment with Kirsteen. My son adored her - so kind and caring to both of us, she really explained everything to him, gave him (and me) hope and she took time explaining that taking care of their skin is essential, not just for their appearance but for their overall health and self-esteem.
