During your skin consultation you will be assessed by an experienced dermatology nurse with advanced knowledge of skin health and facial skin conditions.
We take a detailed look at concerns such as acne, rosacea, redness, pigmentation, sensitivity, breakouts and other facial skin issues, then create a personalised plan to support clearer, healthier and more confident skin.
What will be discussed?
During your skin consultation, we will discuss your main skin concerns, how long they have been present, what may trigger or worsen them, and how they are affecting your confidence.
We will talk through concerns such as acne, rosacea, redness, sensitivity, pigmentation, breakouts, congestion, scarring, dryness, oiliness, uneven texture, enlarged pores and skin barrier damage.
.
Will I get a copy of my skin consultation ?
Yes after your skin consultation, you’ll receive a personalised treatment plan outlining the recommendations discussed during your session. This will be sent to you by email and includes suggested treatments, frequencies, so you can review everything at your own pace.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
It is helpful to bring a list or photos of the products you currently use, including cleansers, moisturisers, serums, prescription creams, supplements or medications. You may also wish to bring photos showing how your skin changes during flare-ups.
Will I be pressured to buy products or treatments?
No. Our approach is honest, supportive and personalised. We will explain your options clearly, including pricing and expectations, so you can make an informed decision without pressure.
Can I discuss injectable treatments?
Injectable treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, and fat dissolving are not covered in this consultation. These procedures are carried out by our Registered Nurse and require a separate, nurse-led consultation.
However, we’re happy to provide you with information on all of our injectable treatments, and can assist you in booking a dedicated consultation with our nurse if you’re interested in exploring those options.
How much does the consultation cost?
The consultation is priced at £145, which includes a 30 ml personalised compounded prescription worth £76.
What is included in the £145 Skin Health Core Consultation?
Your Skin Health Core Consultation is a comprehensive medical skin assessment carried out by an experienced Independent Prescribing Clinician.
Your consultation includes:
- A detailed assessment of your skin concerns, medical history, medications and lifestyle factors.
- Clinical diagnosis of your skin condition where appropriate.
- A personalised treatment plan designed specifically for your skin.
- A bespoke 30 ml prescription-strength compounded skincare formulation (where clinically appropriate), individually formulated to target your specific skin concerns.
- Written skincare advice and homecare recommendations.
- Instructions on how to use your prescription safely and effectively.
What is a compounded prescription?
Unlike off-the-shelf skincare, compounded prescriptions are individually made for you.
Your clinician selects the most appropriate prescription ingredients and strengths based on your skin type, diagnosis and treatment goals. The formulation will contain 2 active ingredients that work together to address your specific concerns.
Because every prescription is personalised, no two formulations are necessarily the same.
How long does the prescription last?
Most patients find a 30 ml prescription lasts approximately 8 weeks, depending on the treatment area and how frequently it is used.
What happens after my prescription finishes?
Your skin changes as treatment progresses.
Many patients benefit from adjustments to their prescription over time to maximise results while maintaining skin health.
You should contact the clinic around 1–2 weeks before your prescription runs out so your progress can be reviewed.
How much are follow-up prescriptions?
If your treatment plan remains unchanged and a review is not required, replacement compounded prescriptions are available for £76.
If your clinician feels your prescription needs altering or your skin requires reassessment, a review consultation may be recommended before issuing a new prescription.
How often will I need reviews?
This varies between patients.
Some people require reviews every 2–3 months during the initial treatment phase, while others may only require an annual review once their skin is stable.
Is there a charge for reviews?
If we need to see you in clinic there is a charge of £50 for a 30 min appt review . Any prescriptions that require to be ordered will be an additional £76 for 30 ml
Is prescription skincare better than shop-bought products?
Prescription formulations contain medical-strength active ingredients selected specifically for your skin.
Because they are individually prescribed, they can often provide more targeted and effective treatment than standard over-the-counter products, while allowing ingredient strengths to be adjusted as your skin changes.
What if I have questions during treatment?
We encourage you to contact the clinic if you have any concerns or unexpected reactions while using your prescription.
We are here to support you throughout your skin journey and ensure your treatment remains safe, effective and appropriate.
