Renu Skin Clinic is committed to upholding the highest standards of patient safety, transparency, and accountability.

All incidents that meet the criteria for the Duty of Candour will be promptly identified, investigated, and reported in accordance with legal requirements and internal procedures.

Renu Skin Clinic has a Duty Of Candour Policy  in clinic. This is available on request. 

Patients and their families will be informed about incidents in a timely and compassionate manner, providing them with accurate and relevant information.

Renu Skin Cliic  will support staff in fulfilling their Duty of Candour responsibilities through appropriate training, guidance, and support mechanisms.

 Identification of Incidents

All incidents that meet the criteria for the Duty of Candour will be identified through a robust incident reporting and management system.

All of our  staff have a duty to report incidents promptly and accurately.

Investigation and Assessment

Incidents meeting the criteria for the Duty of Candour will be thoroughly investigated to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

The severity and impact of the incident will be assessed to determine the appropriate level of response.

 Communication and Disclosure

Patients and their families will be promptly informed about the incident, provided with a clear and honest explanation of what has happened, and offered appropriate support.

Communication will be handled in a compassionate and empathetic manner, taking into account the individual needs and preferences of the patient and their family.

The disclosure process will be documented, including the information shared, who was involved, and any support provided.

Follow-up and Support

Renu Skin Clinic would provide ongoing support to patients and their families following the disclosure of an incident, including access to counselling or other support services.

Staff involved in the incident will also receive support, including access to counselling, debriefing, or other support mechanisms as appropriate.

Training and Awareness

Renu Skin Clinic  provides regular training on Duty Of Candour.
