Our Story

About ReNu

Renu was founded in 2008 by Iain and Kristeen Geddes, with a simple idea: good skin and good health shouldn’t be complicated.

Kristeen is a Registered Nurse Independent Prescriber with a clinical background spanning renal nursing, Accident & Emergency, dermatology, skin health and aesthetics. Her particular interests include acne, rosacea, ageing skin, women’s health, menopause, hormonal wellbeing and functional wellness — because skin rarely exists in isolation.

With a Postgraduate Diploma and MSc in Clinical Dermatology, alongside extensive dermoscopy experience, advanced training in minor surgery and years of hands-on clinical practice, Kristeen brings a genuinely clinical approach to every assessment and treatment. She has performed hundreds of minor surgical procedures and has also authored two peer-reviewed publications exploring hormones and the skin, and the use of hyaluronic acid fillers in the lower face.

But qualifications are only part of the story.

Over the years, Renu has become known for bringing together clinical expertise, advanced technology and clever aesthetic treatments with a much simpler approach to skincare.   As a mum, watching your child struggle with acne can be tough. You see their confidence wobble and the frustration they feel each time a new pimple appears. Your own heart hurts as you watch them try to hide their magnificent, perfect face! So I spent a fortune trying every skincare regime I could find online or in chemists and the confidence was dropping lower and lower and my heart hurt a little bit more.

Finally I knew I needed help and spent a day on the phone and found Re-Nu and booked an appointment with Kirsteen.

My son adored her - so kind and caring to both of us, she really explained everything to him, gave him (and me) hope and she took time explaining that taking care of their skin is essential, not just for their appearance but for their overall health and self-esteem.
