ReNu Wellness: Revolutionising Wellness and Longevity in Dundee
The world of aesthetics and wellness is evolving, and I couldn’t be more excited to introduce ReNu Wellness, opening in April 2025
Welcome to Renu Health and Wellness- The home to bio-identical hormone therapy. Perimenopause is a natural transition that can bring a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms due to fluctuating hormone levels. These changes can begin years before menopause and affect how you feel day to day.
At Renu, we offer personalised, evidence-based assessment to help you understand your symptoms and explore appropriate treatment options. Where suitable, bio-identical hormones may be considered as part of an individualised care plan, always guided by clinical assessment, safety, and ongoing monitoring.
At Renu Health and Wellness, we believe effective hormone care begins with understanding the whole person — not just hormone levels.
The consultation covers your medical history, symptoms and a discussion of how BHRT may help you restore your hormone health.
The initial consulation will last approximately 45 minutes.
This follow up appointment provides you with your blood test results and advise you of any medication needed to address any issues identified by your tests.
We will organise your personalised prescription if required.
During the course of your treatment you will be required to undergo blood tests. They are an essential part of what enables us to provide you with the gold standard treatment.
Tests such as: FSH/Oestradiol/Progesterone/Testosterone/DHEA-S/Vitamin D
Photobiomodulation (PBM) uses red and near-infrared light to support cellular function and reduce inflammation. While it isn’t a hormone treatment, it can be a valuable supportive therapy during peri-menopause and menopause, particularly for symptoms driven by inflammation, poor recovery, and nervous-system stress.
Rebalance Impulse is a non-invasive neuromodulation therapy designed to calm the nervous system and support regulation of the stress response. During peri-menopause and menopause, fluctuating hormones can place extra strain on the nervous system — which often shows up as poor sleep, anxiety, overwhelm, fatigue, and reduced resilience.
Lympha Press® is a form of gentle, sequential compression therapy designed to support lymphatic flow and circulation. During peri-menopause and menopause, hormonal changes can affect fluid balance, inflammation, metabolism, and tissue health — all of which can place extra demand on the lymphatic system.
We offer thorough, structured consultations that take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and health goals.
Our hormonal health services are grounded in clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice. Every assessment is led by a structured consultation process that considers medical history, symptoms, lifestyle factors, and relevant risk indicators.
All prescribing at Renu is carried out by a qualified Nurse Prescriber and follows current clinical guidance and professional standards. Treatment decisions are made only after a thorough assessment, with careful consideration of medical history, contraindications, and individual risk factors.
Our approach looks beyond isolated symptoms to understand the wider picture. By exploring underlying contributors and how different systems interact, we are able to create personalised plans that support both symptom relief and long-term health.
At Renu, we believe that understanding your health is essential to making confident decisions about your care. We take time to explain findings, treatment options, and potential outcomes in clear, straightforward language, without jargon or pressure.
Tailored care during key stages such as perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.

Common bio-identical hormones used in perimenopause may include progesterone, oestrogen, testosterone, and DHEA. Treatment is always personalised, clinically assessed, and carefully monitored to ensure safety and suitability.
Many women are drawn to bio-identical hormone therapy because it can feel more in tune with their bodies. In our experience, patients often report feeling more balanced and comfortable on this approach, with fewer side effects compared to traditional HRT, though treatment is always individual and carefully monitored.
Hormonal symptoms can overlap with stress, lifestyle, and other health conditions. A structured consultation allows us to assess your symptoms, medical history, and risk factors to determine whether hormones may be contributing and whether further investigation or treatment is appropriate.
Bio-identical hormones are structurally identical to the hormones naturally produced by the body. They are often derived from plant sources and formulated to match human hormones such as oestrogen, progesterone, and testosterone.
Bio-identical hormones can be used within hormone replacement therapy, but not all HRT is bio-identical. Treatment options vary, and suitability depends on individual symptoms, health history, and clinical assessment.
When prescribed appropriately and monitored correctly, bio-identical hormones can be a safe option for some women. As with all hormone therapies, they are not suitable for everyone and require careful assessment, informed consent, and ongoing review.
Blood tests are not always required in perimenopause, but they may be helpful in certain situations. This will be discussed during your consultation based on your symptoms, history, and clinical presentation.
Hormone therapy may help support symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disturbance, low mood, anxiety, reduced libido, vaginal dryness, joint aches, and skin changes. Treatment is always individual and symptom-led.
Any hormone therapy can cause side effects, particularly during the adjustment phase. Many women report good tolerance with bio-identical hormones, but responses vary. Ongoing monitoring allows treatment to be adjusted if needed.
Yes. Perimenopause often occurs while periods are still regular or irregular. Treatment options can be tailored to where you are in your hormonal transition.
Yes. Fluctuating hormone levels during perimenopause can affect mood, concentration, confidence, and emotional resilience. Some women experience increased anxiety, low mood, irritability, or reduced motivation. A thorough assessment helps determine whether hormonal changes may be contributing and whether treatment or additional support is appropriate.
Yes. Hormonal changes can influence skin texture, breakouts, pigmentation, weight distribution, muscle mass, and energy levels. These changes are common during perimenopause and can often be addressed through a combination of hormonal and non-hormonal support.
